Our story
In the rich lands of Corato, a picturesque corner of Puglia, stands a small family-run farm, which dedicates itself with passion and dedication to the production of extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality, made exclusively with olives of the “ MonoCultivarCoratina ” variety.
Corato in the local dialect is pronounced “ Quaratë ”, hence the idea of assigning this name to our oil.
We firmly believe in quality over quantity and are dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of Coratina, a native variety known for its robust flavour and its high content of polyphenols , powerful antioxidants which have been shown to have positive effects on human health, helping to protect cells from oxidative damage and promote cardiovascular health.
Each member of the family plays an essential role, from tending the olive trees to harvesting the olives, pressing and bottling the oil, and managing the social media pages and website.
Quarate extra virgin olive oil is a product of excellence, the fruit of careful and meticulous processing. The olives are harvested at the peak of perfect ripeness and immediately taken to a trusted mill for cold pressing, thus preserving all their precious organoleptic properties.
